There and Here

Born early, wish I was a man of space
Among stars, a bulky suit feeling light,
Faceless, chaseless, traceless, finding my place.
No fright in night just the future in sight

Of my famous past akin to Cur Bell.
Well, I hope it went unlike Ellis’ fate.
I dwell on time’s knell. Stirred, their words, I quell.
Wish I was a woman of words, born late.

Or tall O-two, green, yellow, red in Fall,
Or breathing O-two, shades of blue below,
Up and down, I’m universe’s rag doll.
Slow and fast, my brain, steady time will plough.

Wish I could’ve been there or there, it’s true
Yet so glad I’m right here and now with you.
