Kindred Spirits
As bright as souls though stars may burn,
Orbiting in galaxy swirl,
By far apart is how they turn.
Too close two stars and they will churn
Parts, dark as broken hearts; They curl
As bright as souls. Though stars may burn,
Feel distant, shy, stiff as a fern,
A Dancer’s dance they’d like to twirl,
By far apart is how they turn.
Wiser Pluto too did discern:
Let go a planet of a pearl.
As bright as souls though stars may burn,
Spin, and gravity makes them yearn
For one more time, a final whirl.
By far apart is how they turn
Now, then, before. They may return
Now and then: Energy unfurls
As bright as souls. Though stars may burn,
By far apart is how they turn.
